The data we collect

We collect only what we need to assess an enquiry and stay in touch with the intermediaries we work with:

• Contact details you provide through our enquiry and registration forms: name, firm, email and phone number
• Deal information you send us, including property, security, loan amount, exit and timescales
• Correspondence between us, including emails and notes of calls
• Technical data about your visit to this website, such as IP address and pages viewed, collected through analytics cookies

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We use your data to assess and respond to enquiries, to carry out lending due diligence, to meet our legal obligations, and, where you have consented, to send occasional lending updates.

Our lawful bases are legitimate interests (assessing and progressing a commercial enquiry), legal obligation (record-keeping and anti-money-laundering checks) and consent (marketing emails, which you can withdraw at any time).

Who we share it with

We share personal data only where it is necessary to progress a deal or run the business:

• Solicitors, valuers and other professional advisers acting on a transaction
• Our customer relationship and email platforms, which process data on our instructions
• Credit reference, identity and anti-money-laundering service providers
• Regulators, auditors or law enforcement where we are legally required to do so

We do not sell personal data, and we do not pass your details to other lenders or brokers.

How long we keep it

Enquiry data that does not proceed is held for up to 24 months so we can pick up the conversation if the deal returns. Data relating to completed loans is retained for at least six years after redemption to meet our legal and tax obligations. Marketing consents are held until you withdraw them.

Your rights

You have the right to ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to ask us to erase data we no longer need, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent to marketing at any time.

Security and international transfers

We hold personal data on reputable UK and EU-hosted platforms, with access limited to those who need it. Where a provider processes data outside the UK, we rely on the UK Government’s adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.

Changes to this policy

We review this policy at least annually and will publish any material change on this page with a revised date.
